- Verified concern. Scan test shows U0101 stored in power steering control module (PSCM) as invalid data received from engine control module (ECM). Noticed cooling fans are on high and engine coolant temperature gauge is on cold. Used scan tool to view engine coolant data and temperature is at 167*f and is unable to achieve operating temperature (195*f) under extreme circumstances indicating coolant flow at all times from stuck open thermostat as cause of concern.
- Accessed and replaced thermostat housing. Verified repairs with run time and road test.
- Accessed and replaced engine coolant temperature sensor for repair integrity.
